We are pleased to announce the public release of our latest joint white paper focusing on the integration of 5G and Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN).
The document is the result of a successful international collaboration between the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks (ComNets) at TU Dresden, the Vienna-based startup phine.tech (Austria), and the wireless systems provider TMYTEK (Taiwan).
Bridging Open-Source 5G and Industrial Automation
The white paper provides deep insights into implementing 5G-TSN solutions utilizing the OpenAirInterface framework. Combining open-source 5G software with advanced hardware capabilities is a critical step toward achieving the ultra-reliable, low-latency communication required for modern industrial environments and Smart Manufacturing (Industry 4.0).
By joining forces across research and industry boundaries, the participating partners demonstrate how seamless, time-critical network synchronization can be deployed globally.
