Researcher
Máté Tömösközi is a Senior Researcher at the Technische Universität Dresden (Dresden, Germany). He received his Ph.D. at the Technische Universität Dresden (Dresden, Germany) in 2021, his master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2013, and worked as a software engineer for acticom GmbH (Berlin, Germany) between 2012-2015 where he developed and researched various header compression implementations. He is currently leading the bitteiler EXIST research transfer project, which builds on his previous work in the field of header compression and network coding with an emphasis on massive wireless IoT networks.

Although the collection of large data sets can be used for many solutions, its utilization is made difficult by the increased overhead on the transmission and limited processing capabilities of the underlying physical system. For such highly correlated and extensive data, this situation is usually described as data-rich, information-poor. We propose for the first time a novel one-stage method, called Information-Abstraction-Net (IA-Net), for the detection of abnormal events in multi-object anomaly detection scenarios by utilizing highly abstracted sensory information instead of the entire sampled data set to elevate the transmission and analysis needs of the system. Header compression has been an ever present solution since the advent of wireless networks and the most current version of it, Robust Header Compression (RoHC), has seen a widespread adoption in Long Term Evolution (LTE) cellular networks. Recent research has mostly focused on the integration and enhancement of RoHC, instead of advancing the core concept of the compression. In this paper we present for the first time a novel design that can tackle the compression of arbitrary packet streams regardless of the employed protocols and the transmitted data.
