Curriculum Vitae

Pit Hofmann obtained his PhD in electrical engineering and his diploma from TUD Dresden University of Technology, Germany, in February 2026 and October 2021, respectively. He is currently working as a junior research group leader at the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks at TUD. He leads the Chair's research group on molecular communication and synthetic biological intelligence. Furthermore, he is involved in the Cluster of Excellence Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (CeTI). During his PhD, he was a visiting researcher at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and at Cortical Labs in Melbourne, Australia. Pit Hofmann's research interests are molecular communication, biological computing, and the Internet of Bio-Nano Things.
