PhD Researcher
Andrew Lonnstrom received his M.Sc. (Dipl.-Ing.) in electrical engineering from the TU Dresden, Germany in 2005. From 2005 until 2007 he worked at Actix GmbH in the area of mobile network optimization. From 2008 until 2010 he worked as a support engineer at Signalion GmbH (now National Instruments). From 2010 until 2016 he worked as a verification engineer at Intel for their 4G mobile chip-set. In 2016, he joined the Chair of Communications Theory under Prof. Eduard Jorswieck where he focused on physical layer security in multi-mode fiber optic communication. Her remained with Prof. Jorswieck (including Prof. Jorswieck’s transition to TU Braunschweig) until 2021 where he then joined the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks at TU Dresden. His current research focuses mainly on optimal network slicing in haptic communication networks.
