Dr.-Ing. Bassem Arar

Postdoctoral Researcher

Bassem Arar received his PhD from the Technical University of Berlin on January 2019. From 2011 to 2023, he was with the Ferdinand-Braun-Institut gGmbH (FBH) in Berlin. Between January 2021 and February 2023, he was a team leader in the Joint Lab Quantum Photonic Components at FBH. He is now with the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks as a Postdoctoral researcher in the Quantum Communication Networks Research Group.

He received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ulm in 2011 and a B.Sc. in Telecommunication engineering from the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology in Damascus in 2006. His main research interests are hybrid-integrated quantum communication networks and integrated light sources for Telecommunication and precision measurements.
