PhD Researcher
Elena Urbano Pérez is a PhD. student at “Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks” at TU Dresden. She is currently working on the eNC² project, which is advocating for joint design of communication and control in cyber physical systems exploiting adaptive networking concepts to enable global (and not local) cyber physical systems.
She was born in Málaga, Spain, and studied at the University of Málaga, where she received her bachelor degree in Industrial Electronics in 2012. Afterwards she studied a master in Automation and Industrial Electronics while working in the research company Aeorum, where she focused in technological and innovative solutions with drones. During the academic year 2014-2015 she did an Erasmus internship at the TU Dresden, where she wrote her final thesis at the chair of Automation Engineering, and obtained her master degree from the University of Málaga in 2015. Since then, she´s been working as a researcher at the TU Dresden, first at the chair of Automation Engineering, and since 2017 at the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks.
Elena’s research interests are mainly in the areas of Control Theory and Robotics.
