M.Sc. Mahdi Attawna

PhD Researcher

Mahdi Attawna is a Ph.D. researcher at Deutsche Telekom Chair for Communication Networks at TU Dresden. He has earned his Bachelor and Master degrees in Informatics from Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) in Palestine. He is working on the “TOAST: Touch-enabled Tactile Internet Training Network and Open Source Testbed” project, the aim of the TOAST project is to provide an innovative and interdisciplinary training program to 10 doctoral candidates, who will work on various aspects of Tactile Internet, such as haptics, networking, edge computing, machine learning, and human perception. The project will also develop a joint testbed and end-to-end solutions for Tactile Internet, as well as transfer the research outcomes into intellectual property, new products, and services. His current research focus is network functions state management in edge computing.
