PhD Researcher
Swaraj Shekhar Nande is a doctoral researcher at the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks, Technische Universität Dresden. His current work focuses on quantum synchronization techniques aimed at minimizing synchronization errors in future communication networks, particularly in the context of the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and its extensions for 6G and beyond.
He obtained a five-year Integrated Master’s degree in Physics from the Integrated Science Education and Research Center (ISERC), Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, a World First Living Heritage University, in 2021. His master’s thesis, conducted at CSIR–National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New Delhi, investigated optical nonlinearities in multilevel atomic systems within the domain of nonlinear quantum optics. Following this, he held a research position as a Guest Scientist at the Helmholtz Institute Jena, Germany, where he worked on theoretical modeling of higher-order laser beam modes.
His research interests lie at the intersection of quantum optics and network systems, with a particular emphasis on applying quantum mechanical methods to problems in time synchronization, quantum networking, and quantum internet infrastructure.
